For this cover, I replaced that crown with barbed wire — a symbol of prison, fences, and the suffering of our time. To me, barbed wire is not only a sign of pain, but also a boundary that separates people from one another.
The drop of blood flowing from it reminds me of sacrifice and the cost of truth.
I drew this image simply, but I wanted it to be deep — a message for anyone who carries their own cross, whether behind bars or in the free world.")

The artwork was created using a collage technique with textured color surfaces to reflect the inner fragmentation and emotional complexity of the theme.
During the design process, I had the myth of Oedipus in mind—guilt not only as a result of action, but as something imposed by fate. The figure’s posture—with the head turned, a protective hand, and a curved body—suggests defensiveness, shame, and the inner conflict between hiding and the desire to be seen.
The unusual red blotch stretching from behind the head to the hand evokes a wound—an unerasable mark, as if guilt has been inscribed on the body without a clear source.
The tension, doubt, and layered nature of guilt are visually expressed through the contrast of textures, the interplay of vivid and muted colors, and the dissonance between forms—a metaphorical and abstract narrative of internal experience.")

Typography emphasizes the duality—“GOD” stands bold and spiritual, while the rest of the title feels calm and analytical. The concept was first created for the Persian edition and later adapted for English.")
